Jane McGann is a flute and sax player performing and teaching in Melbourne. She has a particular interest in jazz and funk with influences ranging from the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Kate Bush, Bob Marley and James Brown to Robert Glasper and Snarky Puppy. She has played in bands of many genres in Melbourne from indie folk to funk, Latin, soul, reggae, swing and contemporary jazz. Originally from the UK, Jane has also lived and worked in Portugal, Texas, Jamaica and Costa Rica, and been influenced by the music she has experienced on her travels.
